Fluidomat Type T-12 is a constant-fill, fixed-speed traction coupling — a radially displaceable design with a resilient driving plate on the input side and a metallic-disc flexible coupling on the output side. It gives a smooth, cushioned start while limiting the torque the driven machine ever sees.
Starting torque is adjustable in the range of 180–275%, with normal operating slip of just 2 to 5% depending on coupling size and the chosen starting-torque value. The unit is suitable for two consecutive starts from hot and three from cold, and a fusible plug protects against overload — blowing off at 130°C as standard, with a 160°C option.
